  7.        This program was written in Borland's ObjectVision.
  8.  
  9.        Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 is required for installation of the
  10.        "Global TimePiece" program.  Approximately 2MB on the Hard Drive
  11.        are required, and at least 4MB RAM is desirable.  A mouse is
  12.        required.
  13.             
  14.        WINDOWS 3.1:  
  15.              
  16.        Insert the Installation Disk in the floppy drive.  From the Program
  17.        Manager, select File/Run.  At RUN, type the Drive letter, colon,
  18.        backslash and then INSTALL.  For example:  A:\INSTALL.  Press ENTER,
  19.        or click OK, to begin installation.  An OVGLOBAL directory will be
  20.        formed and will contain the program files.

  22.        WINDOWS 95:
  23.  
  24.        Insert the Installation Disk in the floppy drive.  Select "Add
  25.        Programs" from the Control Panel, select Install and utilize the
  26.        install features according to Windows 95 instructions, and it will
  27.        install to the Start Programs.  An OVGLOBAL folder will contain the
  28.        program files.

  30.        The CONFIG.SYS file must contain SHARE.EXE.  If the SHARE.EXE file
  31.        is located in C:\DOS, type:
  32.        INSTALL=C:\DOS\SHARE.EXE, and re-boot the system.

  34.        Alternatively, type SHARE in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  35.        
  36.        The Graphics were developed for 640 x 480 x 16 color video settings.
  37.             
  38.        Approximately 200 Countries and 800 Cities were included in the 
  39.        Country and City databases, and approximately 1,250 Cities in the                        
  40.        Location City database.  The Dates and Times of Cities within a
  41.        selected Country will be displayed.  Cities have been included for
  42.        every Time Zone.  Multiple Cities are displayed for Countries with
  43.        more than one Time Zone.  Daylight Saving Times (Summer Times) 
  44.        have been computed.

  46.        The Location City must be selected initially, to establish the
  47.        Location of the Computer.  The selected City may be saved, and
  48.        this procedure will not need to be performed again unless the
  49.        Computer Location changes.

  51.        The Location City is selected by :
  52.  
  53.           1. Enter the first few letters of the desired City in the 
  54.              provided box and click OK.  (This is the quickest method.)
  55.  
  56.           2. Click the TOP, BOTTOM, PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons until the
  57.              desired City is identified.
  58.  
  59.           3. Use the Scroll Bar to scroll the list to find the desired
  60.              Location City.
  61.  
  62.           4. Click the desired City, which will be surrounded by a border,
  63.              and then click DISPLAY. 
  64.           
  65.        The Country is selected by :
  66.                  
  67.           1. Click the Find Country button, enter the first few     
  68.              letters of the desired Country in either upper or lower case,
  69.              and click OK.  (This is the quickest method.)
  70.  
  71.           2. Click the TOP, BOTTOM, PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons until the
  72.          desired Country is identified.
  73.  
  74.           3. Click the List of Countries button, and scroll the list
  75.              to find the desired Country.  Click the desired Country,
  76.              which will then be surrounded by a border, and then click
  77.              DISPLAY.

  79.        Units per Dollar :
  80.  
  81.           To determine the relationship between the US Dollar and Foreign
  82.           Currency, enter the Units per Dollar in the Green Block and 
  83.           then click SAVE.  The value will be retained until changed and
  84.           saved again.  Since the Units per Dollar may change daily, values
  85.           included in a database would not be accurate.

  87.        Cities, Dates and Times :

  89.           When the desired Country is selected, click the Cities
  90.           button for a screen that displays several Cities of the selected
  91.           Country, Date, Standard and 24 hour Times.  The Local Time and
  92.           Date are obtained from the computer Time and Date.  The Time will
  93.           be updated each time the Cities screen is opened.

  95.       Daylight Saving Times for all Countries have been obtained from
  96.           various sources.  There may be some errors in the starting and
  97.       stopping dates for some Countries.  If so, these will be corrected
  98.       as the data becomes available.  The computed dates should be
  99.           correct through the year 2099.
